Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong has been known as a well-known American comedian, actor and a member of the cast for Saturday Night Live. Her acting career began in the theater but she became interested in comedy after attending an improv class at the age of nine years old. At first, she wanted to be an actress, but she realized she had a talent for comedy. Thus, her main focus shifted from acting to comedy improvisation. Her career began with a cruise ship doing shows with fellow performers from Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong appeared at top events such as Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She performed with Virgin Daiquiri - an all-female troupe - as well as New York Sketchfest. In 2012, she became a celebrity when she was featured in "Saturday Night Live" during its 39th season, as a cast member, hosting Weekend Update with Seth Meyers initially, and Colin Jost later. Her most memorable performance was when she played the role of "The girl who you would have preferred not to start the conversation with at your party'. In the same year she had her first film debut in an untitled short film entitled 'How to Sponsor a Uterus'. She criticized how women are treated as bikini models or girlfriends in films made by Hollywood instead of strong female characters.
