Luciana Paoluzzi was born Rome and raised with her family. Her dad was Manlio Paoluzzi, who was an Italian military officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of Benito Mussolini's mistresses. There is no information about her having siblings. Luciana was a student at the high school in her town, and after graduating in 1955 was a student at the Naval Engineering department of the Scientific Academy of Milan. It was her only female in the class. Luciana first became fashion models after only two years. Her professional career took a turn afterward, as by chance she landed her first acting role as a character in Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her first spouse. The couple made Return to the Peyton Palace following their wedding in 1960. Luciana received custody of Charles, born 13 June 1961. The couple divorced within a year. Between 1962 and 1970, Luciana had a relationship with Tony Athony who was, an actor and producer. Tony was greatly influenced by her performance in the movie Green Slime and based on his script and production of his own mixed Spaghetti Western for which he became somewhat popular.
