Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter (born Ariel Winter Workman on Janurary 28th, 1998 in Los Angeles California) is an American actor, singer, and vocalist. Ariel's acting career began at the age of six, when she appeared in an advertisement in the commercial for Cool Whip. In a CBS episode called Listen Up!, Ariel got her first TV role in the age of seven years old. The next time she appeared on television, it was in Monk Bones, ER and other programs. Gretchen was the main character that she played in 2007 on the Disney Original Channel's animated show Phineas and Ferb. In 2007, she appeared as her first live-action character in the role of Alex Dunphy, on the famous television series Modern Family. She along together with the Modern Family cast have won the Screen Actors Guild Award for the Best Performer by a Group in the field of Comedy Series four times. Ariel continues to do the voice of characters for films like ParaNorman Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel holds a purple-colored belt in Taekwondo. She is the older sister of actor Shanelle Workman, and Jimmy Workman. She is a performer who has her own band WickedSweet. She is also involved in environmental groups that work to encourage a greener living. In 2012, her sister applied to be Ariel's guardian based on allegations of mental and physical abuse from her parents. Shanelle became Ariel's guardian permanently in 2014.
