Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the largest projects she was a part of and achieved the greatest popularity, is her work. The full title of Selena Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez. Her birth date was the 22nd of July 1992 on the 22nd of July in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena was the first born of her mother. She was only 16 at the age Selena. When she was just 9 years old Selena was able to make her debut in the showbiz industry as she portrayed Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She became one of those youngsters who had the chance to play with the world's most famous reptile, the purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena played a role in numerous episodes from seasons 7 & 8 between 2001-2003. Selena was not the only actor to appear on Barney as well as His Friends during that time. Demi Loveto also worked on the show. After the show ended, Selena Gomez auditioned for several parts in different programs and films but was not very successful. Her role was only a tiny one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and another like Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. Also, she was cast as Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote musical to play in the 2006 film Brain Zapped.
